Effective October 2, 2023, CMC in The Philippines will join BDO, the fifth-largest accountancy network in the world. Led by a team of experienced and future-oriented accounting professionals, the new firm will carry the name BDO CMC, as it combines deeply embedded local roots with a strong global network.

He adds “We believe that client relationships are based not only on technical excellence, but equally on human relationships of respect, trust, and transparency.
Cruz has 20 years of professional experience with the Philippines’ Big 4 firms, providing audit, advisory, and outsourcing services to multinational and local clients across a multitude of industries.
He is joined by his deputy, Mohammad Zidni Marohombsar, who brings with him nearly two decades of professional accounting experience, including stints as a specialist on matters of public sector, as well as project and public financial management to multilateral development organisations. He has worked with one of the largest accounting firms in the Philippines and has been involved in projects for the Asian Development Bank, International Fund for Agricultural Development and the World Bank.

Rounding up the team are BDO CMC Partner Riazel D. Bontia and Head of Tax Atty. Benedict Ines. Bontia has extensive experience working with companies, such as Ayala Land, Inc., Deutsche Knowledge Services Pte. Ltd and Maxicare Healthcare, Corp. Meanwhile, Atty. Ines brings with him 14 years of experience in taxation, corporate law, and litigation with organisations that include two accounting firms in Philippines, the ARC Group of Companies, and the Provincial Government of Bataan.
This core group was formed at the start of 2021 with the goal of elevating the country’s public accounting practice by delivering quality service with impeccable commitment and integrity.
