EFRAG Endorsement Status Report reflects amendments to IFRS 16 Lease Liability in a Sale & Leaseback
The European Union has published a Commission Regulation endorsing Lease Liability in a Sale and Leaseback (Amendments to IFRS 16). The endorsement is now reflected in the Endorsement Status Report.
The objective of the Amendments is to specify how a seller-lessee subsequently measures sale and leaseback transactions with variable lease payments that do not depend on an index or rate. The Amendments become effective for annual periods beginning on or after 1 January 2024, with earlier application permitted.
