Bruce Sprague

Bruce is the Western Canada Tax Service Leader for BDO. Bruce is a Partner in BDO's Vancouver office, with over 25 years of professional experience providing sophisticated tax planning and a broad range of other services to public and private corporations, entrepreneurs, high net worth individuals and family offices, and professional athletes. He is also the Tax Office Service Line Leader for Greater Vancouver and Interior B.C.

Bruce has considerable experience in both the technology and mining sectors as both an advisor to public and private corporations, and previously held senior executive positions with prominent mining and technology corporations. 

Bruce is involved in the community through Board memberships on the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade and Mining Association of Canada. He was formerly a Board member for several non-profit organizations in Vancouver including the Vancouver Aquarium, Sport BC, Coquitlam Adanacs Field Lacrosse Association, and Port Moody Hockey Association. 

Bruce has been a presenter at numerous industry and technical seminars during his career on taxation and other topics including presentations at the Canadian Tax Foundation, Private Wealth Canada West Forum, Energy and Mines Ministers Conference, NHL Coaches Association and the Association for Mineral Exploration of British Columbia. He has also been an author in the Canadian Tax Foundation, Canadian Tax Journal, Canadian Mining Journal and Advisor's Edge.
